Accessibility Statement
What we have tested, and what we have not
An accessibility statement is only useful if it is honest about its gaps. This one is kept current as the platform is built.
Draft — under owner review
This statement is a working draft and has not yet been reviewed and approved by the owner. It describes our intent and current testing status; it is not a legal certification or a claim of conformance.
Our target
We build this website and platform toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Meeting a standard is a result we have to demonstrate through testing, not something a design system or a colour palette establishes on its own.
What we do by default
- Real HTML text, headings, landmarks, and controls — never text baked into images.
- A visible skip link and a visible two-colour focus indicator that is never removed.
- Full keyboard operation for every interactive control.
- Text contrast checked against the brand palette; colour is never the only signal.
- Body text from 16px with relative sizing, so browser zoom and enlargement work.
- Meaningful alternative text, and captions plus transcripts for published video.
- Forms with visible labels, visible input boundaries, and errors described in text.
Testing status
- Automated checks: run during development. These catch only a fraction of real barriers.
- Keyboard-only walkthrough: in progress across public pages.
- Screen reader testing with real users: outstanding. Not yet completed with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or TalkBack.
- Real-device mobile testing: outstanding. Browser emulation is not a substitute and we are not counting it as one.
- Third-party sign-in and payment steps: outstanding, pending those features being finished.
Report a barrier
If something here blocks you, please tell us what you were trying to do, what happened, and the assistive technology and browser you were using. Reports from people who hit the barrier are the most valuable thing we receive.
